I haven't sent out any holiday cards.
I've only bought one present.
I hate all of the pressure. I'd rather buy someone a gift on a Tuesday in August because it's perfect, rather than trying to force it in December.
I have 51 emails in my inbox waiting to be dealt with.
Wow. I'm pretty overwhelmed for someone who's unemployed.

Exactly why when I see that perfect gift in August I buy it then and there. I refuse to let the rampant commercialism ruin my holiday or worse, have to buy what's left instead of what I want. I finish all my shopping by Thanksgiving and then kick back and enjoy. :)

I usually have my cards out by the end of the first week after Turkey day - no such thing could be done this year - NO WAY and I'm not sure I'll be sending any at all ~ but then this annoying, cheery lil' voice in me pipes up, "ah! just sit down with "Christmas Story" playing in the background and get 'em done - oh and open that box of See's candy right now."
