Ah, New York City

I was woken up at 5AM this morning by someone down on the street using a jackhammer.

5AM. This MORNING. Jackhammer.

I live on the 32nd floor. I can only imagine what it was like for the people who live on all of the floors below me.

That's funny. Twice in the past week, I've been woken up by xylophone playing out in the street. I live in downtown Portland. But still. WTF???

There's a lot of construction near my office. What's really annoying is when they are using a pile driver for weeks at a time.
