The RIGHT way
We went out with friends on Friday night.
While we waited for our table at Serendipity, we walked down the street to Dylan's Candy Bar.
One of my friends decided to have some sourpatch kids.
I watched in horror as he haphazardly popped two or three in his mouth at a time.
I explained to him that there was a right way to eat sourpatch kids- that you must savor them.
He argued that there are "different" ways of doing things. That people have different "opinions".
And then in a feable attempt to prove me wrong, he shoved all of his remaining sourpatch kids in his mouth.
Dammit people!- there is a right and a wrong way to do things, and that's just WRONG.
I'm still twitching.

You're totally right, Sour Patch Kids need to be eaten one at a time. Each color has a different flavor and you can't appreciate that if you're showing 7 in at a time!

God I hate when commenters make stupid mistakes like that, then just can't resist commenting again to correct the mistake. But I'm sorry, it will haunt me all day if I don't point it out.

i completely agree. sourpatch kids, sour fish, and all types of sour candy must be eating SLOWLY. i like to eat them in segments, suck the sour off, then chew.
that is the best way, hands down.

The THOUGHT of sourpatch kids makes my mouth water...and not in a good way...more of a face scrunching painful sort of way. No sour stuff for me!!

I'm fairly certain my head would explode if I attempted to ingest more than two sour patch kids at a time (even if they were all the same color - the only PROPER way to eat multiple sour patch kids). On the other hand, I did manage to shove an entire Forbidden Broadway Sundae into my wide open maw two weekends ago. (P.S. I still feel a bit ill.)

Did you know that if you eat a king sized bag of sour patch kids in one sitting (say... on a road trip), their acidity will actually burn the skin inside your mouth? 'Cause it will.

The really disgusting thing was that after the bag of candy I had a bigass frozen hot chocolate AND an apple pie. I'm an unstoppable gluttony machine.

Mmmm, I LUUUURVE Dylan's Candy Store. We have one here in Houston at the Galleria and I am addicted. Their birthday cake ice cream is the best, and all that retro candy? TO DIE FOR!
Sour patch kids must go one at a time. Otherwise my tongue starts getting sore from all that sugar at once.
