When someone callls you to tell you that they just found out they are having a girl the first words out of your mouth should not be "Oh, I was hoping you would have a boy".

Ooh (*winces*) so not what they should have said... Well I for one am thrilled you're having a girl (although a boy would have been wonderful as well) and all that matters is that you have a healthy and happy pregnancy. Don't let it get you down. x

That is insane. It reminds me of the time my friend told her coworker she was having a girl, and her coworker then said to her "I knew you were having a girl, since they take away your beauty." So to sum up: people are assy at times. I agree with Candacej; congratulations are in order for a healthy baby (either gender) and mom.

I've done several postings on "What NOT to Say to a Pregnant Chick." Wait till you share names. Unfortunately, it doesn't stop there because one day you'll take him to the mall and someone will say "Shouldn't he have a hat on?" (um, inside the mall??) Anyway, you get what I'm saying...I hope

My friends were actually discussing how much they don't really want a boy during my shower for my soon to be born son. Oh how cute girl stuff is and they would just DIE if they had a boy! Bitches.
