Whistle while you work
There is a maintenance guy in our hallway cleaning the floors. He has been whistling incessantly for the past 15 minutes. It is driving me CRAZY. (I've spoken about my hatred for whistling before- see #68)
I so badly want to go out into the hallway and ask him to PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD STOP, but I don't want him to think I'm a bitch. I have to see this guy almost every day.
Is there a polite way to ask someone to stop doing something annoying- whistling, chewing gum, tapping their foot, etc., or will they just think you're a bitch no matter what?

do I have to remind you you're PREGNANT? Pregnant women can get what they want just by asking! Put your hands on your belly, take your best I'm-sorry-but-this-is-my-prerpgative-as-a-mother to-be look and tell the guy the whistling gives you a headache. It will work.

I thought i was having a bad day, but ur miserable... I'm in europe cause my dad forced me to go and have a good time-whoopee. Today i've been forced to stay at my grandparents house while they search everything in my luggage to find a place to put the liquor they want me to smuggle to give to my dad. By the way, i'm a 14 year old teenage girl. And then, after an hour of searching through all the stuff i brought with me, they start closing my luggage and they broke the zipper on it. Normally i would be happy, so i would have a reason to get a new suitcase since the one I have is crap, but i was already mad at them for going through my business without asking and all the shops were closed... I now see that my day and life could be worse, but i'm still angry as hell with them. they don't even speak english. i'm sad that ur having problems. there's not much i can say except for good luck...
