Music to my ears
Words I can not hear enough of when uttered by a sonogram technician:
Perfect
Excellent
Just right
Right on target
Beautiful
Spunky
Today I had my 36 weeks sonogram. (I'll be 36 weeks in two days.)
The baby was measuring 5 1/2- 6 lbs (PERFECT!).
The above picture does not do justice to how awesome this ultrasound was. My mother and my husband were there too.
We got to see her face (I burst into tears), her fists, her little feet kicking me in the ribs, her butt, her tummy (so round), and her brain (I may be biased, but it looked big to me).
She even got the hiccups during the ultrasound.
Her umbilical cord is not wrapped around her neck (Mine was and I almost died during my birth).
The placenta and the amniotic fluid looked great.
I am on cloud nine.

She looks so beautiful already. I can't believe it is so close: only 4 weeks!
I know it is hard because of all the pain you are in, but try to enjoy the last weeks of your pregnancy- it is such a special time, and your life will change so much afterwards.
At the very least, see as MANY movies as you can!!!

love the pic, so i decided to peruse your other pics on flickr. i noticed the cat in the crib and your comment on how the cat will not be shooed away after the baby comes...and that the dogs will be allowed to lick the baby. as long as you're safe and the animals show no aggression, what's the big deal? just be careful with the cats laying with the baby while she sleeps. in some of your pics the cat was right in your face...babies can't (or don't know to) turn their heads when something's in the way.
oh, and just so you know, my daughter's first laugh was heard when our golden licked her tiny little toes. now THAT'S music to my ears. there is no other sound in the world like the sound of YOUR baby's first laugh. congrats on the upcoming addition to your family. did you do , or will you do a belly cast? now's the time if you're gonna do it! :)

Such great news! You will be a lovely mama! I don't recall how I found you recently, but I went back and read all your archived posts about wanting a baby...what a long journey you've been on. Enjoy these last few weeks pregnant. Soak up you time. Take care of yourself! :)
