Dear Internet,

Here's the plan- I have decided that I am never actually going to get teeth. I'm just going to teeth FOREVER, or at least until I go away to college. I will be happy, smiling, laughing, and talking up a storm and than with NO WARNING my bottom lip will quiver and I will let out a yelp of pain. I will also have trouble going to sleep and when I finally do fall asleep I will toss back and forth and wake up EVERY HOUR ALL NIGHT.

Love,

Willa

P.S. What does it mean when mommy sits in the corner and rocks back and forth whilst babbling incoherently to herself?

P.P.S. POOP! (AAaaaahahahahahaaaaa!)

Comments

My friend just had a baby and she makes the biggest POOPs ever! Fortunately, she smells like buttered popcorn.

Dear Willa,
We should start a club.
Love, Zoe :)

Dear Willa

Ask your mom about rubbing bourbon on your gums. Also mention Valium. For her.

Funny!! I feel ya...

My son is going through this right now. I'm so tired from the hourly cry fests in his bed all night long. The only thing I've found that works to calm him is chamomile , I give it to him in these little granules that taste like sugar and he stops crying immediately.

I thought the teething would never show any teeth and then one day my son had two out of the blue.

Dear Willa,

Doesn't teething stink? I cut my first tooth a few weeks ago and I nearly drove my mommy insane and now I'm working on tooth # 2. But tooth # 2 isn't driving mommy nearly as batty because she found these Hyland's Teething Tablets and they make everything all better. They are made for babies, they are tiny and they dissolve instantly on my tongue and make me stop fussing. They are a homeopathic remedy. My dr. said they were fine to take. They can be found at Target and other pharmacies.

Smooches,
Li'l Foot

P.S. are you drooling as much as I am? Isn't drooling trendy and hot?

Dear Li'l Foot,

My mommy gives me the homeopathic tablets AND a homeopathic gel that's similar to orajel. She doesn't notice much of a difference when she gives them to me. She keeps talking about giving me something called "sedatives", but she hasn't yet.
And yes, I am drooling as much as a Saint Bernard.

Love,

Willa

Dear Willa,
Have mommy get you some mylicon (simethicone) drops for babies for the gassy tummy you get from swallowing the droolies. Also, have mommy get some of those popsicles in the plastic tubes and freeze them. If she uses scissors very carefully to round off the edge of the plastic end of the pop without actually opening it and then smooshes it so its slushy inside, you have a nice frozen gum soother and you get 50 of em in a box.
Love,
A mommy who's babies teethed at 2 months.

I can't believe Willa is teething already. My little girl was teething for a while, but didn't get her first two teeth until she was 9 months old(thanks Santa!). I second the Hyland's Teething Tablets. That worked for my little one.

ah yes, Maggie's teeth are taking their sweet time too! She's been a drool factory for 2 months now, but just in the past few days it has kicked into high gear. Everything is just always wet. And cranky. Poor kids!

Delurking to comment. Poor thing! I'd come and babysit so you can get some sleep, but I live half a country away. I was going to agree with the teething tablet suggestions, but if those don't work... You might try clove oil on her gums. You have to dilute it with vegetable oil so it isn't to strong- 4 drops essential clove oil to 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil. I'm sure you've tried everything at this point but just in case I thought I would leave a suggestion. Good Luck!

Oh,yeah. I remember that shit, I mean, fun stuff.

Good times. Good times.
