Hope
I'm not going to get into a whole diatribe about politics, but I will say this-
This country has been in a downward spiral for the past several years.
We have the power to change it
Please vote.
I unfortunately can't vote in the primary because I am registered as an independent.
If I could, I would vote for Obama.
He is just what this country needs right now.
Also, I've met him, and he seems like the kind of guy that I would love to hang out with and isn't that what we all really want in a president- someone we can relate to?
Please watch this video. It brought tears to my eyes.

I'm so excited about today!! I wish I lived in a state where I could vote, but I have to wait a couple more months.
I LOVE Obama. I want him. I'm daring to hope.

Yes -- I saw that video last night and I also felt moved. I'll have to wait a bit to vote, but I will also vote Obama.

Wouldn't it be amazing to have a president who actually inspires? Imagine that!

I'm an independent too, but can vote here in TN. Obama's got my vote too!

That was an amazing video. I can't wait to vote.

You can't vote because you're a three time felon!
Cuteness can be criminal. Watch out for it, people.

Please, America, put a democrat in the White House this year! The rest of the world is begging...

Obama is definitely what he need. Jeez, I hope he makes it through.

Are you serious.?. He is Muslim. Raised in an extremist school. A madrasa (sp) That is as extremist as it gets. The 9/11 hijackers were very nice and decent sounding. They even convinced flight instructors at the school they only needed to learn to take-off and flight, not land. I don't trust him.

Hey Reality Check, is it true what they say? Is ignorance really bliss?

Just posted this on twitter for you, but had to put it here too: http://www.thedailyshow.com/video/index.jhtml?videoId=81465&title=obamania

I was wondering if you were voting: we hear alot about the US presidential election here, and whilst I'm a bit baffled by the nitty gritty of it (I looked it up on wiki but am just more confused) I'm gladdened by the hope that your next President may either be a woman or a black man...
Reality Check, please- there are so many more liberal muslims than fundamentalists! Jeez Louise, do some research! Read "does my head look big in this?" by Randa Abdel-Fattah for an insight into how most Muslims see the world. Not just the fundamentalists.

That video is great! I feel like this is the first time in 8 long years that the vote is going to make a real difference.
Obama inspires.

I'm glad I am not the only one who cried when I watched this. Truly inspiring. Unfortunately, I can't vote until April 22nd, which at that point our nominee's may already be choosen.

Goosebumps. Thanks, Torrie.

Please post the story about how you met him!
I'm afraid if I ever met him I'd do something groupie-ish, like flash my boobs.

I'm an Obama girl myself. But I do believe that whatever direction the country goes, it will be a better path than the one we're on. Hope, indeed.

I'm a canadian and I'm so jealous that I can't vote. I wish I was American right now. I envy you guys for being able to vote for an exceptional man.

"Reality Check" needs a reality check! It's amazing how some people will believe anything they read without considering the source or doing any research of their own, and regurgitate it as fact! None of those Obama rumors are true, and Snopes has compiled many sources that discredit them. Here is the link:

To think that in this Presidential election I may not have to merely choose between the "lesser of two evils," that I may have the chance to give my vote to Obama, someone who I truly think could take this country in a new and better direction, is exciting!

I felt exactly the same way on Super Tuesday. Now that it actually looks like PA's votes will matter in April, I'm very excited to be able to vote for someone who inspires me for the first time in my life. I'll be there at the booth, with bells on.

I'm Canadian and I think any change at the top in the US will be a major improvement. I really hope that Obama is half the man that everyone wants him to be. He's a remarkable and charismatics speaker, but he doesn't have much of a record, so the media gives him an easier ride than Clinton. Hope is a wonderful thing, but it has to translate into policy, planning and action.
