Updates
Mookie is almost back to his old self.
Yesterday was the first day that there was no hissing.
I had a complete blood work up done- including getting my thyroid tested. I thought that might explain why I gained 8 pounds and was exhausted all the time. But my blood was PERFECT. I'm glad I'm "healthy", but it sucks when you feel like crap and there's no explanation for it.
So, it turns out that I am just fat and lazy. Ha!
I started wearing a pedometer. The first day I wore it, which was a normal day, I walked 7 miles. A slow day seems to be about 4 miles. So, I don't get it.
I've been trying to eat a little better. It's tough, because when I'm hungry I just want to stuff my face. I'm trying to eat more- just more healthy stuff. I've even almost completely given up cheese. If that's not dedication I don't know what is, because, come on, it's CHEESE.
I'm still struggling with trying to find time to take care of myself, but at least I'm trying.
Also, I have a really amazing story to tell you about the kindness of strangers, but That will have to wait for another post...

Torrie,
Try this, i swear it works. has worked on me.
1. Do skipping(jump rope). do it twice daily. morning and evening.
2. Take every morning, 1 tbsp of honey in warm glass of water. take it the first thing in morning. it takes out all the excess fat in body.

You gave up CHEESE? That's incredible. I couldn't do it.....not only could I not do it. I flat out wouldn't do it. I mean what's life without cheese. Even if it would mean a much smaller ass. I figure a good 35% of ass is entirely cheese.

I would give up chocolate before I give up cheese. You are a better woman than I.

Hi Torrie,
I empathize with the gaining weight for no reason. Two weeks ago, I checked my weight and boom! 10 pounds heavier! FOR NO REASON!
I'm hypoglycemic, so I usually eat quite a lot in one day, but when I'm less stressed, I actually forget to eat. I think not eating enough slowed my metabolism and maybe the same thing happened to you...? Something that has seemed to help is eating more fresh fruits during the day. I'm also vegetarian and I definitely grab salty carbs for a snack. I put out apples or peaches in plain sight, though, so I see them and remember to eat them. They're not very filling, but that's a bonus too, because then you have to keep eating more frequently.
I know everyone's body works differently, but just thought I'd share since it seemed like you were in the same boat! And for what it's worth, I stopped eating dairy and (refined) sugar products when I was 15 (for medical reasons) and weight practically melted off of me! Hopefully, the cheese deprivation pays off. Stay strong, girl!

4-7 miles a day? that doesn't seem fat and lazy to me!
I think I would literally keel over and die without cheese. The French do it - how do they stay skinny? Oh yeah, I think their pedometers say "16 miles" per day.

You have had a LOT of things to deal with ust recently so dont be so hard on yourself. Your body is just asking for something...
I have just started seeing a Natropath and she has me on an assortment of "herbs and spices" and since I have been taking them (3 weks so far) I have had more energy and fewer cravings. Its also helping with depression and anxiety.
However its not cheap compaed to taking the meds fom your GP but its better for your body.
xoxo
