My name is Torrie. I am 32 but I am in complete denial about it. I expect the grown up police to come to my door any minute and arrest me for impersonating an adult.

I am married to a doctor. I don't recommend it- he works A LOT. I miss him. He is the best husband ever (no really- I WIN), and we are one of those disgustingly in love couples that make people want to vomit. We've been together for over 12 years.

We have a daughter born May 15th, 2007. Her name is Willa. She is wonderful and difficult. She often drives me insane. She gives me kisses with her mouth open, loves books, loves dancing, and pats me on the back when I hug her. I like her. I think we'll keep her.

We have a dog whose name is Dexter. He is the best. Ask anyone who's met him. We have three cats- Mookie, who is trouble, Itsy, who I rescued when she was only a few weeks old, and so now she thinks I'm her mother, and Annie, who is old and used to be my dad's cat.

Up until a few months ago we lived in Manhattan- It's where I grew up. Now we live in the suburbs right outside of the city. There is grass here. And nature! But, I miss my friends.

I used to be a pastry chef, and now I'm a photographer.

I've been blogging since 2003. There are days when I love the internet- I've made so many amazing friends because of it, and then there are days when I want to punch the internet right in its fucking face.

I am a vegetarian, recycling, yoga-practicing, organic hippie.

I complain. A LOT. If you have a problem with that, this is not the blog for you.

I really do pretty much hate everything. Current top offenders include onions, lack of common sense, using “that's the way I was raised” as an excuse, drinking and driving, cilantro, coffee, cigarettes, black pepper, worrying about money, commercials, people who make stupid faces when they are singing or playing an instrument, not being able to get a real live person on the phone, stepping in something wet when you are wearing socks, being cold, insurance companies, underwear, and the New York Mets.

There are, however, a few things I like. They include rain, skinny dipping, a good cup of tea, Jon Stewart, chocolate, corduroy, massages, The Office, magazines, Rhapsody in Blue, long walks in comfortable shoes, Paul Rudd, flip flops, Tivo, farmers markets, the way it feels when you take your bra off at the end of the day, being sad to finish a great book, bagels, How I Met Your Mother, and the New York Mets.
